Background & Purpose
The Primary Health Care (PHC) theme group was one of the original CAHSPR theme groups established in 2010. Our purpose is to:
- Support the broad community (researchers, clinicians, decision-makers; students) interested in the many aspects of primary health care research;
- Promote collaboration and partnerships between PHC and other components of the health care systems both in Canada and internationally;
- Provide venues for PHC theme group members and others to meet virtually or in person to present and discuss pertinent and timely topics of particular relevance to PHC;
- Liaise with other groups involved in the PHC endeavors (e.g., Canadian Institute for Health Information, Canadian Institutes of Health Research, Canadian Working Group for PHC Improvement, Pan Canadian PHC Research Strategy Network).
