Applications are invited for the position of Chair in Applied Health Economics and Policy in the School of Medicine within the Faculty of Health Sciences at Queen’s University. Establishment of the Chair is subject to approval by the University Senate and the Board of Trustees.

We are searching for an academic physician who will have special expertise, experience and academic qualifications (or equivalent) in the area of applied health economics and policy. He or she will lead or have recently led an established research program in this area and will also have experience in the training of undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students. While not required, experience and an interest in compensation for health professionals would be an asset. Qualified candidates must hold an MD (or equivalent) and be eligible for licensure in Ontario.


The successful candidate will be appointed, with appropriate academic rank, to a clinical department within the School of Medicine that is relevant to his or her specialty. It is anticipated that the Chair holder will devote 50% of his or her time to research and scholarly work in the area of applied health economics and policy.
