Celebrating 50 Years of the MHA Program

Ottawa, Ontario
May 02, 2014 to May 04, 2014

Host Organization:
MHA Program University of Ottawa

May 3, 2014
Fairmont Château Laurier Hotel, Ottawa, ON

Join us, as we travel through time and celebrate the success of the past 50 years and inspire the future of the MHA program at the University of Ottawa, Telfer School of Management.

Now you can go back!

In 2014, the school will be celebrating 50 years since the inception of the program. So many of our graduates have risen to senior positions in hospitals, community-based agencies, government departments, associations and organizations. And to be honest it’s hard to imagine where Canada’s healthcare industry would be today without the Telfer MHA program. It’s been a vital part of this country’s health-care community. The mentoring and engagement of alumni with current students year after year is a big part of what keeps the Canadian Health Care system evolving and moving ahead.

The celebration weekend will include several great events. Saturday morning alumni will be given the opportunity to attend one or two professional development sessions. In the evening the alumni association will host a Gala dinner at the Fairmont Château Laurier for all alumni, faculty - past and present, and all preceptors and professionals from the health care community who have shared a connection with the school over the past 50 years. There may also be other events organized during the weekend, however we are still in the development stages of the full program.

This will be an outstanding event. Telfer provides a wonderfully diverse and vibrant environment where students, faculty, researchers and alumni forge rewarding lifelong relationships. This event will strengthen those connections for many more years to come and create many new ones.

Better research ... better decisions ... better health
