Position Purpose

Effectively plans and manages the implementation and evaluation of the communications and Knowledge Translation strategies of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research-Institute of Population and Public Health (CIHR-IPPH) and contributes to the development and implementation of CIHR and IPPH strategic initiatives. CIHR-IPPH works with a diverse community of researchers, trainees, policy makers and citizens across Canada. Its communications and KT strategies reflect the broad scope of IPPH’s activities, which include priority setting; developing, launching and evaluating research funding opportunities; institutional capacity building; training of researchers at various career stages; public outreach and informing practice, programs and policies. Works in close collaboration with CIHR corporate and Institute staff and under the direct supervision of the associate director, CIHR-IPPH. Is the first point of contact for the Institute of Population and Public Health for matters related to knowledge translation and communications.

Contract until July 31, 2016. Eligibility to benefits will be determined upon hiring.

This position is excluded from all union accreditation units. All applications will be considered equally.

Schedule with an average of 35hrs/week.
