Call for Proposals: Health Policy and Research Organizations
Two grants of a maximum of CA$2.5 million each will be awarded (one for West Africa and one for East Africa) for a duration of 68 months.
The Global Health Research Initiative (GHRI) is pleased to announce two new competitive calls to improve maternal, newborn, and child health in sub-Saharan Africa. GHRI is a collaboration of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, and the International Development Research Centre.
The seven-year Innovating for maternal and child health in Africa program will fund leading African and Canadian researchers to find solutions to improve health systems for mothers and children. Together with African decision-makers, researchers will generate locally relevant, practical, and affordable innovations that can be scaled-up to other communities. Regional bodies will broker the knowledge gained to inform national and regional policymaking. This on the ground collaboration will have a lasting impact on the lives and futures of mothers and children in sub-Saharan Africa.
