Synopsis

We are providing an orientation to the Evidence-Informed Healthcare Renewal (EIHR) Portal. TheEIHR Portal, is managed through a collaboration between the McMaster Health Forum, and theCanadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR). The portal is a continuously updated repository of policy-relevant documents that address renewing, reforming or strengthening governance, financial and delivery arrangements within health systems in Canada.

The EIHR Portal is integrated within Health Systems Evidence, the world's most comprehensive, free access point for evidence to support policymakers, stakeholders and researchers interested in how to strengthen or reform health systems or in how to get cost-effective programs, services and drugs to those who need them.

Who Should Attend?

CIHR together with CFHI will introduce the EIHR portal using a case-based approach that is highly relevant for policy analysts, decision makers and others wanting to create sustainable, evidence-informed improvement in healthcare in Canada.

Learning Objectives:

  • Gain a practical, hands-on appreciation of and orientation to the EIHR Portal: What is the Portal? How do you access and search it? How can you sign up to receive monthly updates about new documents added to the EIHR Portal
  • Participate in a case-based training webinar that highlights the range and types of evidence sources available to support healthcare renewal
