The Department of Community Health Sciences in the Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary, in partnership with the Libin Cardiovascular Institute of Alberta, is inviting applications for a tenure-track position, at the Assistant Professor level, in the area of big data science. Examples of big data are administrative health data, electronic medical records, large clinical registry and linked health and social data.

Qualifications include a recent advanced research degree, PhD or equivalent with at least 1-3 years of experience in big data science research beyond the PhD degree, and a proven record of excellence in statistics, analytical methodology, data mining, machine learning, or visualization in use of big data as demonstrated by scholarly publications and the ability to compete successfully for funding.
