CIHR Barer-Flood Prize for Health Services and Policy Research
This prize is a career achievement award that honours and recognizes an exceptional researcher in the area of health services and policy research who has created a seminal body of work that has had a substantial impact on health services and policy research, policy and/or care delivery. Dr. Andreas Laupacis, Executive Director of the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute at St. Michael's Hospital, was the recipient of the inaugural CIHR Barer-Flood Prize. Federal Health Minister Rona Ambrose and Ontario Health and Long-Term Care Minister Deb Matthews presented the award at a reception held as part of the F/P/T Health Minister’s Meeting in Toronto.
